Professional Experience

For more than 20 years Naomi Saunders has been committed to guiding others to enhance their lives through better movement.

She began her career after discovering her love for fitness through dancing with a semi-professional dance troupe in Oaxaca, Mexico for three years.

Naomi began her professional fitness instructor development by becoming a certified aerobics instructor through the IDEA program, and then by teaching aerobics classes in Mexico and southern California.

She is thoroughly grounded in the study of human anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and the components of safe and effective exercise. Naomi has taken course work through the American Fitness & Aerobics Association (AAFA) and has certification in group fitness from the American College of Exercise (ACE).

Following years of rigorous training, Naomi added certifications in Feldenkrais® and Pilates in order to create customized programs for her clientele.

To complete her capacity to assist her clientele with the ‘missing performance piece’ for athletes—mastery of mental performance—Naomi is currently completing her Masters in Sports Psychology at the JFK University.

Ms. Saunders holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a minor in Sociology from U.C. Berkeley.
